The Dragon's Promise - Background and inspiration

The cover photo for the novel is based on two separate photographs which have been merged.The beach is the bay of Achnahaird in Coigach (below), which looks out on to the mountains of Inverpolly. The mountains have been adapted to form the island, and the backdrop of downtown Los Angeles superimposed on the sunset sky.
